Martina Navratilova, the 18-time Grand Slam tennis champion, was critical of the presence of transgender runners in the women’s category at the Boston Marathon, in which Kenya’s John Korir and Sharon Lokedi triumphed on Monday.

It should be remembered that the Boston Marathon was one of the first ‘majors’ to create a category for non-binary athletes, that is, athletes who do not identify with the male or female gender. In this edition, the winner of the non-binary category was Whit Blair, with a time of 2:22:47.
