Michael Jordan is having a great summer, as the greatest basketball player of all time got to spend some days with his youngest son, Marcus Jordan.

The six-time NBA champion – with six MVP Finals, by the way – is a fierce competitor in all aspects of life, and that includes his love for fishing.

The Chicago Bulls legend bought a 80-foot fishing boat named “Catch 23”, which have a very cool design resembling the Air Jordan 3 sneakers, one of the best pairs that have come out of the Jordan brand. The custom-built yacht’s estimated value is $7 million dollars.

Marcus Jordan gets pumped at fishing tournament

Marcus Jordan shared with his thousands of followers the weekend he spent with his internationally famous father, Michael Jordan. They were both competing at the 52nd Annual White Marlin Open, the world’s largest and richest billfish tournament that goes down in Maryland.

After the scales opened, angler Trey “Cricket” McMillan from Charleston, South Carolina aboard the “Catch 23” brought his white marlin to the dock. With a weight of 71 pounds, this fish currently sits in second place and is worth an estimated $379,000. After the fish was weight, Michael and Marcus Jordan got pumped by the fact that they helped caught that big of a fish.

In addition to their 2nd place white marlin, Catch 23 is also in first place for release points as well as winning the Daily Dolphin category with their 22.5 pounder. Billfisher remains in first place for their 72 pound white marlin caught by angler Dan Gough. If it holds in first place, it’s worth an estimated $3.9 million dollars.

Jordan is getting ready for his broadcast debut

NBA fans all over the world were super excited when they found out that Michael Jordan will join NBC Sports as a special contributor to its NBA coverage when the 2025-26 season begins.

“I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC,” Jordan said during a video message. “It was a meaningful part of my career, and I’m excited about being a special contributor to the project. I’m looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October.”

NBC returns to carrying the NBA after a 23-year absence. This is the first time Jordan has joined a network. His appearances and comments during the 2020 “The Last Dance” documentary about his career and the end of the Bulls dynasty in 1998 created plenty of headlines.
