Lionel Messi, the Argentinian astro went to watch Novak Djokovic play at the Miami Open. Djokovic, who has won the most Grand Slam titles in the ATP history, was playing against Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria. It was a really good match, with Djokovic playing at a very high level. Maybe it was just luck, or maybe Messi being there helped Djokovic play better. It’s cool to see two big sports stars supporting each other.

Messi and his family are now settled in Miami, and they seem to be having a great time. It’s like a good match between Messi and the city’s lively vibe. He’s brought a lot of attention and money to Miami, and the city has given him a lot back, with fun events and shows. The warm welcome he got at the Miami Open, with everyone cheering for him, shows how much the city likes him. It’s a fun relationship for both sides.

Usually, tennis players are so focused on their match that they don’t notice the famous people in the crowd. But this time, with Messi, it was hard to miss him. We’ve seen other celebrities at tennis matches too, like Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner at Indian Wells. Last year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were at the US Open. And who can forget when Ben Stiller, the actor, and Nick Kyrgios, the tennis player, had that hot argument at Indian Wells in 2022? So, it’s not unusual to see stars at tennis, but Messi being there was a special moment.

It looks like Messi and Djokovic are becoming good friends. They even took a photo together in the locker room, along with Juan Martin del Potro, another famous Argentinian tennis player. Del Potro, nicknamed “Tandil Tower,” was a really good player during the time when Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal were the top players. He got to number three in the world in 2018, but then injuries stopped him from playing his best. 1 He’s one of the few players who managed to win a Grand Slam title during that era, winning the US Open in 2009.

Messi came back to play for Inter Miami on Saturday night and made a big difference. He scored the winning goal against the Philadelphia Union, and because of that, Inter Miami is now at the top of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. He didn’t even play the whole game! Messi came on as a substitute early in the second half, and less than two minutes later, he scored.

Luis Suárez passed him the ball, and Messi quickly moved past two defenders from Philadelphia and scored with his right foot. It was a really important goal that helped Miami win 2-1, and mantain the high position in the MLS.
