During his chat with Ariel Helwani, Pacquiao did not hesitate to point out that Jake Paul’s work in the ring has gone beyond the show and said that he has earned his respect because he has worked so hard, as well as his team to do things right and above all compete seriously without disrespecting boxing.

While the Filipino made it clear that sporting content should be above the show, he is aware that the American has evolved a lot and could start to think about leaving exhibition fights behind and giving more entertainment to boxing fans.

Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Mario Barrios is one of the most anticipated bouts since the Filipino’s return was confirmed. Interestingly, Pacquiao’s last victory was before Jake Paul made his boxing debut when he defeated Keith Thurman on July 20, 2019.

Since then, Manny has only fought once more as a professional, while Jake has added 13 official fights with a record of 12-1, which includes names such as Mike Tyson, Julio Cesar Chavez and Tyson Fury. His evolution as a boxer has been so striking that now the Filipino legend recognizes him.
