For the first time this season, the New York Giants secured a victory by unexpectedly defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 21-18, who came into the game with a 3-0 record. It is worth noting that Jaxson Dart made his first NFL start, marking his first win as the Giants’ quarterback.

However, this victory comes with a painful cost, as Giants star Malik Nabers suffered a knee injury during the game against the Chargers, and there are fears it could be serious. The images were dramatic, showing his knee bending awkwardly while attempting to catch a deep pass. Nabers grimaced in obvious pain and had to be carried off the field.

Early reports suggest the worst: it is feared that he may have a severe ligament injury (possible ACL tear), which could sideline him for the rest of the season. This will be confirmed tomorrow after medical examinations are completed.

Odell Beckham Jr. also suffered a severe injury in a game against the Los Angeles Chargers

Back in the 2017 season, specifically Week 5, Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a fracture in his left ankle during the game against the Los Angeles Chargers at MetLife Stadium. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter, ending the season for the LSU product.

What was meant to be a celebration for Giants fans-marking the debut of their quarterback of the future, Jaxson Dart-turned sour as Malik Nabers was injured badly. Based on current reports, it seems unlikely that the Giants’ star receiver will play again this year.

Many players have suffered ACL injuries on the MetLife Stadium field. The last two significant cases were Giants receivers Sterling Shepard and Wan’Dale Robinson, and tomorrow Malik Nabers may sadly join that list.

On a positive note, the New York Giants, led by Jaxson Dart and a strong defense that intercepted Justin Herbert twice, secured their first win of the season. In his first start, Dart threw a touchdown pass and also scored a rushing touchdown.
