Dominican pitcher Luis Severino has received one of the best news of his career in MLB. This was stated to the public when he was notified by the management of the Oakland Athletics that he will be the starting pitcher for Opening Day on March 27 when they face the Seattle Mariners.

The notice was delivered directly by manager Mark Kotzay: “Sevy will take the mound for us on the 27th in Seattle.” It should be remembered that Luis Severino has joined the Athletics franchise and was a player in high demand by the Oakland management. “He’s going to have an impact on and off the field. Prior to his 10th MLB season,Luis Severino has appeared in 172 games where he has won 65 games and lost 44 with a 3.81 ERA. He has struck out a total of 949 batters and has only allowed 120 home runs in 909.1 innings pitched.
