The Genesis Invitational, which was due to be held from February 13-16 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, will take place at another club next month due to themost destructive fire in Los Angeles history.The Eaton and Palisades hotspots, along with half a dozen others, have burned 16,000 hectares of the city and left 25 dead.

“In collaboration with Genesis, The Riviera Country Club and TGR Live, and out of respect for the situation, we have decided that the 2025 Genesis Invitational will be played at an alternate venue the week of February 10-16. Updated information on the venue and tournament will be provided in the coming days,” the PGA said in a statement on its website.

The organizers have not yet revealed the new venue for the tournament organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation. The Genesis Invitational, one of eight PGA Tour events in 2025, has a prize fund of $20 million.

“The PGA TOUR continues to focus on the safety and well-being of those affected by the unprecedented natural disaster in the greater Los Angeles area. We are grateful for the life-saving efforts and tireless work being done to end the tragic wildfires,” the statement added.
