Influencer Olivia Dunne spent Easter shrouded in melancholy, caught in a whirlwind of disappointment. Far from the bright lights of college gymnastics at LSU, her shattered knee condemned her to forced exile for the final two months of the season, robbing her of her dream finale with the Lady Tigers.
Her Easter post, a “happy” that sounded like a lament, exuded bitterness, as if the weight of her loneliness without boyfriend Paul Skenes by her side was crushing her on a difficult day.
Though she tried to remain upbeat, cheering from the sidelines for the SEC victory, her heart was broken. At the NCAA Championships, she donned a black and purple leotard and posed with a smile that barely hid her pain as LSU collapsed, unable to hold on to the national title.
It seems that for Livvy, Easter became an echo of her broken dreams, a stage for drama where the queen of social media faced her harsh reality, and her post was easy to identify as she was left without the cheerful smile that defines her.
To make her day worse, her boyfriend is having a bad day with the Pirates
On Saturday, Dunne watched Skenes pitch on television and lose his second game of the season with the Pittsburgh Pirates during an electrifying night of bobbleheads while watching the Oklahoma Sooners secure the 2025 national gymnastics crown.
With all that going on, and having a pretty rough time, she took to social media to show the side of herself we know so well as a content creator.
It was a very off-key smile, but one that made sense given what she was going through with her career at LSU coming to a sad end and without her boyfriend Paul, who, to add insult to injury, lost with his team once again.
However, she left another place where she seemed happier, thanks to her dog Roux. Her puppy changed her mood and hopefully pets are our most loyal friends and always play a very important role in our lives. Dunne just had a few bad days, but she will know how to turn the page and return to her usual happiness.
