The Ohio State Buckeyes came out victorious on Monday night, capturing their first national title since 2014, when they crushed Oregon 42-20 on the backs of Cardale Jones and Ezekiel Elliott. This time around, it was Will Howard, Quinshon Judkins and Jeremiah Smith leading the charge. Head coach Ryan Day had been criticized heavily after losing to Michigan at the end of November, but the team completely turned it around after that game.

Ohio State got some help from its relentless fans, who filled in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and made plenty of noise to help their team. The casual fans were joined by some famous athletes who were cheering for the Buckeyes, including Bryce Harper and OSU superfan LeBron James. Although James was shown animated on the jumbotron a couple of times, he was relatively quiet on social media before, during and after.

James shared several different graphics from media outlets on his Instagram stories, but only one of them had a personal caption from LeBron. It was a post from Nike that said “We Told You So“, to which James captioned “Today we did!!“.

There was only one other post where James gave his personal touch to it. It was a picture of him in Buckeyes gear from many years ago, which he captioned with plenty of “prayer hands” emojis.

James didn’t post anything on X throughout the night. Given that he was probably going through an emotional rollercoaster while attending the game, who could really blame him? In the end, James and Ohio State are happy campers and will be celebrating this win for a long time.
