The outstanding season he is producing in 2025-26 is unique, and it has not gone unnoticed by major figures such as LeBron James, who believes Jokic possesses every attribute required to stand as one of the league’s true superstars.
For the ‘King’ James, Jokic is a full-scale athlete on the court, and he highlights abilities that, in his view, deserve a perfect grade. As someone who understands basketball at the highest level, LeBron knows exactly when an opponent is dominant, and when it comes to Jokic, he recognizes it without hesitation.
I will say this. There has not been a more dominant complete player that I’ve played against in a sense of all the attributes that you just mentioned, from the passing to the shooting to the rebounding to the attention.
He expressed this during a warm conversation with former NBA star Steve Nash on the latter’s podcast, Mind the Game.
For James, Jokic’s remarkable on-court versatility is unmatched. He is practically capable of doing everything when he is in the game, something very few players in the league can replicate.
Throughout the season, Jokic has delivered 29.6 points along with 12.8 rebounds and 11.1 assists per game. In addition, he is shooting 62.6 percent from the field, numbers that place him at the very top.
As a true basketball fan, I love the game and everything that comes with it. I mean, if people sit here and say they love the game and they love watching greatness, then tune in to a Nuggets game. And if you didn’t tune in last night with him versus the Clippers you missed you missed the dandy.
James added these remarks while discussing Jokic.
