A sentimental LeBron James opened up to express the deep love he feels for his wife, Savannah. The NBA star admitted that a breakup would devastate him, and in the event of a hypothetical separation, he said he would never be with anyone else again.
The idea of starting over, getting to know someone new, rebuilding trust, and developing fresh feelings is a long and difficult process, one in which the “King” has no interest whatsoever.
Recently, James spoke candidly about his emotions on Everybody’s Crazy. During the conversation, April McDaniel shared a reflection that prompted his heartfelt response.
A heart is a muscle… When a muscle tears, it only comes back stronger, and your capacity for loving can be different after heartbreak.
Savannah, LeBron’s wife, replied simply,
It’s bigger.” But LeBron disagreed. “I don’t think mine could be. I don’t think my heart’s going to get bigger after that heart. But it’s over with.
Then, more emotionally, LeBron continued:
I already told Vannah. I said for sure, it ain’t going to happen. Doing this forever, same casket and everything. I said, I’m not-I don’t-you ain’t got to worry about nobody taking your spot ever. I’m not getting remarried.
I’m not doing that shit, I’m cool. I can’t, that’s fire. I can’t invest my time, my spirit, and my heart again. And I’m talking to my daughter right now, Zhuri: just take care of a n–, that’s all. Just take care of your big bird. Just take care of Dad.
LeBron’s words revealed both vulnerability and absolute conviction about the love he has for Savannah. He made it clear that their connection is for life, and that if she ever left, their daughter Zhuri, who is about to turn 11, would be the one to look after her father
The 2025-26 NBA season begins without LeBron James
The NBA officially tips off this Tuesday, October 21, but LeBron James will be absent due to a sciatic nerve injury. The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Golden State Warriors without their biggest star as he approaches what could be his 23rd and possibly final season.
James is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, which means his return could come around mid-November. Fans are eagerly awaiting his comeback, aware that this campaign might be the last time they see one of basketball’s greatest players take the court.
Even while sidelined, LeBron continues to show his passion for the game and, above all, his devotion to the family that inspires everything he does, especially Savannah, the woman he vows will forever remain his one and only.
