Adin Ross didn’t hold back. During a live stream on Tuesday, the popular YouTuber called out LeBron James for what he called a “massive betrayal” of rapper Drake. The reason? A viral clip of the Lakers star vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us”– a track that takes aim at Drake with lines some fans interpret as deeply personal and even disturbing.

Ross, who has long expressed admiration for LeBron, was visibly shaken during the stream. “I’ve loved LeBron my whole life,”he said. “But seeing him dance to that song – after everything with Drake – it’s just disgusting. That man met Drake’s kids. And now he’s out here nodding along to a song calling him a pedophile? Come on, man.”

A Friendship in Question – and a Fanbase on Edge

LeBron and Drake have a long history. From appearing together courtside to featuring in music videos – including Drake’s 2009 hit “Forever” – their friendship was never a secret. So seeing LeBron support Kendrick’s track, even passively, rubbed some fans the wrong way.

Ross made sure to point out his criticism was solely aimed at LeBron. “Bronny’s a good kid. This has nothing to do with him,” he said. “But loyalty is loyalty. And this ain’t it.”

The debate has sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with some defending LeBron’s right to enjoy music freely – while others accuse him of being disloyal or worse, opportunistic.

Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” has become more than just a diss track. It’s now a cultural phenomenon. As Billboard and Complex have both reported, the song has ignited a split within fan communities, with NBA stars and celebrities subtly (and not-so-subtly) picking sides.

LeBron hasn’t responded publicly. Neither has Drake. But in the social media era, even a few seconds of dancing can turn into a full-blown loyalty test. And this one is playing out in front of millions.
