There’s a reason why LeBron James might unleash his anger, and it’s not exactly if someone speaks ill of his son Bronny, but rather a revealing theory that could leave the Los Angeles Lakers empty-handed.

The high expectations within the franchise were raised with the arrival of Luka Doncic to the team, and securing the third seed in the Western Conference has given the team much more confidence, as they will have home-court advantage at least in the first round of the Playoffs.

A theory that could work against LeBron James, Doncic, and JJ Redick

But much of the concern could arise when considering a theory circulating online, originating from a fan. On Reddit, they analyzed the Lakers’ 17 championships and noted that every time there was a new coach in the franchise, they either won theNBA title or never won it at all.

If this trend were to continue its course, it would mean that the Los Angeles team would win it all this season, or, conversely, that Redick would be in serious trouble.

It may seem far-fetched, but it holds some truth when based on the results of past campaigns. And indeed, it’s a trend that could worry more than a few within the franchise.

This trend can be seen as something positive, as it could mean that the Lakers conquer the NBA title, but if they don’t, it would signify falling into an abyss without crowns.

Many people don’t consider the Lakers as title favorites, especially after making multiple changes mid-season, though anything can happen with the pairing of two superstars like LeBron James and Luka Doncic.

The West is a very tough conference with the emergence of the Oklahoma City Thunder, a young team looking to stand out despite lacking much playoff experience.

Another team that could shine, and one that does have experience, is the Denver Nuggets, though they are now without a coach; meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors are a fully potent team that changed their status as a contender after the arrival of Jimmy Butler to support Stephen Curry and company.

The theory doesn’t indicate anything definitive, but sometimes trends follow their path, for better or worse.
