The Los Angeles Lakers snapped their four-game losing streak Sunday night with a victory over the Phoenix Suns at Crypto Arena.

Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic scored 33 points, registered 11 rebounds and added eight assists, while Austin Reaves scored 28 points.

For the Suns, All-Star Kevin Durant scored 21 points and Devin Booker added 19 points but it wasn’t enough for the 11th place team, who are going to need more offensive power if they want to secure a spot in the play-in tournament.

LeBron embarrass Bronny in public

LeBron James, who missed his fourth straight game with a left groin strain, treated his son, Bronny James, like any other rookie as he approached the bench to sit. The youngster had to get up and give up his seat for the veteran player. Bronny was forced to sit on the floor for much of the game.

The Akron, Ohio native is not the first Lakers veteran to give Bronny the rookie treatment. Earlier this year, former Los Angeles center Anthony Davis did the same during a game, showing the whole world that you can be the son of one of the best players in the world but you still have to pay respect to the ones that came before you.

Even though the young player didn’t get any minutes against the Suns, he has shown improvement during the season as he has gotten more playing time with the South Bay Lakers. He’s averaging 20.6 points, 4.9 rebounds (3.9 of them on the defensive side), 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals with 0.2 blocks.

Lakers get their groove back

With the win over the Suns on Sundays, the Lakers remain in second place in the Western Conference. The Los Angelinos already enjoyed a 20-point lead in the first quarter against an inoperative Suns. Luka Doncic was slow to warm up, but 13 straight points put that maximum of 31-11.

The visitors were unable to react. Kevin Durant made his numbers (21 points), Devin Booker showed up late (19 points) and Bradley Beal played little and poorly. Between the three of them, 2/12 in three-pointers of the 9/41 total. The accumulation of stars and salaries make Phoenix the most expensive team in NBA history and one of the biggest disappointments in recent memory.

They are in eleventh place of the Western Conference with a 31-37 balance and are fighting to get into the playoffs. And the off-season could be a nightmare for Phoenix. Durant could ask for a trade and the team is willing to give him up if they can get something back.
