Byron Scott, a historic member of the legendary ‘Show Time’ Lakers, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old schoolgirl in a school janitor’s closet.

The assault, which has been exclusively revealed by the ‘Daily Mail’, took place in the summer of 1987 at an exclusive school (Campbell Hall School) in Los Angeles, California.

According to the complaint, which the British media outlet has been able to verify, Byron Scott visited the school during an event with the Lakers.

The plaintiff, Hayley Dylan, who was 15 years old at the time of the assault, has chosen to reveal her identity rather than remain anonymous and is suing Scott for sexual assault, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In the 20-page lawsuit, Hayley Dylan explains that at the time of the assault “she had never kissed a boy” and that afterwards “her innocence was shattered and her life changed forever”.

“Byron Scott believed the plaintiff was over 18 years of age and did not know she would say otherwise 35 years later”

Byron Scott, who is now 64 years old and at the time of the assault was married to Anita Scott (from whom he divorced in 2014), admits to having had sexual contact with the young woman, but excuses himself by saying that he thought Hailey was 18 years old.

“Our client is devastated by this allegation, during an event that took place in 1987. Our client believed that the plaintiff was over 18 years of age and had no idea that she would claim otherwise until 35 years later,” Scott’s lawyer Linda Bauermeister told the ‘Daily Mail’.
