Kylie Kelce has revealed her dementia-struck grandma mocked her for the size of her when she was born as she says she was a heavy baby, weighing some 12lbs as fans joked she looks like her husband, Jason.

The average size for a baby is between five pounds and eight pounds but the 32-year-old proved to be an impressive exception to the statistic when she was born back on March 23, 1992.

The now-mother-of-three had a very large face, to the point where she struggled to open the eyes. Obviously now that isn’t the case and she looks sharp, but fans didn’t let her off the hook by insisting she must have been Jason – the 300lb NFL center who played for the Eagles.

And it seems as though her grandma didn’t cut her any slack either, despite battling the degenerative disease.

“‘How big were you when you came out,'” Kylie says her grandma asked, on the NGL Podcast. “I was 12 lbs one ounce and showed her the picture, and she laughed and said, ‘I knew you were huge.”

Kylie added: “My grandmother, at this point in her life, had dementia.”

Kylie Kelce: the largest baby ever?

Kylie, who is now expecting her fourth child with her husband, also received quite the compliment from the doctor who delivered her as he insisted she was the “largest baby he had ever delivered”, but how does that stack up against the record holder?

That honor goes to the son of Anna Haining Bates, a 7ft 11in Canadian woman who worked as a circus attraction and had a child with Martin Van Buren Bates, who himself stood at 7ft 9in. For reference, Shaquille O’Neal stands at 7ft 1in.

The baby was born on January 18, 1879 and weighed an astonishing 22 pounds and was 28 inches tall. However, he only managed to live for 11 hours before dying. Named ‘Babe’, he was posthumously recognized by the Guinness World Records. Both of Bates’ children died young.
