Good news for Real Madrid. Mbappé and Carreras are set to travel to Manchester, though it remains to be seen whether they will play in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against City. The Frenchman has trained normally with the group. Barring any surprises, he will travel. Meanwhile, Carreras has completed part of the training session with the group and is expected to make the roster and participate in Monday’s practice in Manchester.
The rest of the injured players continue their recovery work. Among them, Asencio, who is dealing with discomfort in his calf, is unlikely to travel but has not been ruled out.
Alvaro Arbeloa will announce the squad list on Monday morning. The team will then fly to Manchester, and in the afternoon there will be a press conference and a training session at the Etihad Stadium.
