The team of YouTuber and boxer KSI is pleading with UFC boss Dana White to help facilitate a fight with Conor McGregor in the near future.

Rumors had been swirling that McGregor could soon come up against Logan Paul for a boxing match, but the American recently signed a new WWE deal which means it could not go ahead.

That has seen the attention shift to KSI, who has come across as very open to a fight with McGregor. On a fake poster, KSI said: “Not rumoured, I’m down.”

There is one major issue with this idea, though; McGregor is still contracted to UFC and this would be a boxing match, which is where Dana White comes in.

White has already poured cold water on the building excitement around a potential KSI-McGregor scrap, saying: “No no [won’t fight KSI or Logan Paul]. I’m hoping that Conor McGregor will return in the fall.”

Clearly, White is still firmly of the belief that McGregor will eventually make his return to UFC after the leg break and extended period of recovery in which he has shown little desire to fight.

KSI’s manager respects Dana White’s position

Misfits Boxing co-president and KSI‘s manager Mams Taylor recently spoke about the situation and urged White to reconsider his stance.

Speaking to ‘All Out Fighting’, Taylor was asked about the situation and whilst it was obvious that he would like this fight to take place, he respected the fact that White is a major player in the situation.

“He’s not wrong because that’s the Guv’nor. When it comes to Conor McGregor, those two guys, Conor McGregor is signed to Dana,” Taylor said.

He continued: “I think KSI and Conor are very game to fight each other. They’ve been wanting to, they’ve been calling each other out in public on social media. But ultimately, we have to respectfully ask Dana if he would consider making that massive, massive fight happen.”
