Walker was a bastion throughout the course of Seattle and his consistency changed a complicated Super Bowl. He did not score a touchdown, but the 135 yards on 27 carries paved the way to the Seahawks’ crown. And his deserved and historic award, as no running back since 1998 (Terrell Davis) had achieved the MVP of the American football final. With a very clear style, that of assuming contacts, gaining yards and generating from his attacks on the outside of defenses. A prodigy and already a champion.
“It’s my dream come true,” confessed Walker III. “It only happens once in a lifetime,” he added. Nobody could have imagined it at the beginning of the season, but together with his teammates and an incredible defense, they gave the title to a Seahawks team that deserved it all season long. Now they can form a dynasty, although they will have to pay their new star.
That will be another story, but Walker played his last game under contract with Seattle. Now he must receive a major renewal if they want him to continue to be a differential player in the championship team. He is aiming for an exorbitant amount, although it may not be executed as quickly as he would like due to rumors of the sale of the franchise
