Justin Reid talks like a new Saints player
Justin Reid left the Chiefs to join the Saints, a surprising move as he was a reliable defensive player for Kansas City.
Reid was in his final year with the Kansas City Chiefs and last week he signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints worth up to $31,500,000.
The player spoke with Kay Adams on her show Up and Adams about his move to New Orleans:
“I feel great. I’m very excited about how the situation turned out. There’s a reason why free agency is always so crazy. You never know how things are going to turn out. But in the end, it turned out great,” said the Saints newcomer.
Sources indicate that Justin will take a large salary of $10,500,000.
Reid breaks his silence about what happened in the Super Bowl
In the same interview, Justin admitted that it wasn’t their best game:
“I wish we could have made history. Despite the result, I wish we could have made history, made three in a row, but even so, to have that opportunity, to get to that stage and have the chance to do it, is something to be extremely proud of,” the former Chief confessed.
They didn’t measure up, that’s a fact, and everything they planned went wrong in the worst possible way, the 28-year-old safety makes no secret of that.
“They just shot out of the blocks. And once the bleeding started, it was hard to stop it and change the tempo,” said the new Saints player, who is about to enter a new phase of his career.
