Chavez Jr. has expressed his desire to be world champion again, after being champion in 2011 by the WBC in the middleweight division, a title he defended in three fights until he was dethroned by Sergio ‘Maravilla’ Martinez.

“I would like a fight with the winner of the Mexican fight between David Benavidez and Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez for the championship,” said the 39-year-old.
