Former Yankees player Juan Soto ignited the hopes of thousands of fans after a harmless social media post, which generated much more impact than the player might have thought. During his vacation, Soto has been resting in the Caribbean, taking advantage of the beautiful beaches and trying to forget what the season was like with the Mets.

The season was good for Soto, as he achieved good numbers and statistics, however, the failure of the Mets was inevitable and that forced the player to go on vacation earlier than expected and, apparently, he might have intentions to change teams, or at least that’s what Yankees fans thought.

Juan Soto’s “wink” to Yankees fans

Juan Soto arrived at the Mets for a hefty $765 million and a 15-year contract, however, the talented player does not forget what his time with the Yankees was like, especially because of the affection of the fans, who remember fondly his stay at the club.

Recently, a post by Juan Soto during his vacation could be seen, where all Yankees fans were excited again.

Juan Soto appeared in a T-shirt commemorating the 2024 All-Star Game, which set social media ablaze and sparked much speculation from his followers, as according to them, he was recalling his time with the Yankees.

Juan Soto’s disappointment with the Mets’ current situation

The Mets’ season did not end well. After spending a lot of time in the postseason zone, the team was left out at the end and finished with a performance that did not leave anyone satisfied, especially Juan Soto, who had shone individually.

“It’s a failure. Every time you don’t make the playoffs or don’t win a championship, it’s a failure. That’s how we’re going to look at it, and that’s how we’re going to approach things in the offseason,” Soto explained at the time to the media.

The reality is that the Mets were quite disappointing and Soto was not satisfied. Despite the last photo and the illusion of the Yankees fans, the player is still focused on his team and it would be unlikely that he will change. Nostalgia is present, but far from reality.
