The race for the starting quarterback position with the Cleveland Browns continues as the Organized Team Activities (OTAs) progress, with all eyes on Shedeur Sanders and what he can achieve to build confidence ahead of the 2025 NFL season opener.

Joe Flacco’s remarkable statement about Shedeur Sanders and his father

The veteran quarterback of the Browns spoke about the team’s most high-profile player at the moment, Shedeur Sanders.

Flacco praised Shedeur‘s talent but also highlighted a notable detail that couldn’t go unnoticed: the age gap between them.

“I probably wasn’t too far away from playing against his dad and now I’m playing with him,” Flacco told the media.

He also commented on the quarterback room as a whole, where only one will emerge as the starter: “I think they tend to get a little kick outta me just because I am 40 years old and could be their fathers probably. It’s fun for me too in the same kind of way. They’re young, and they have a lot of life, a lot of energy, a lot of new things that keep me in the loop with my kids and all those things. It’s fun.”

Age hasn’t hindered Joe Flacco from enjoying the positive atmosphere within the organization, and he described Shedeur as someone who is “fun to be around.”
