Following his mid-season trade from the Miami Heat to the Golden State Warriors last season, Jimmy Butler is poised for better results than a disappointing second-round playoff loss.

Heading into his first full season with Stephen Curry and company, the 35-year-old small forward has been working out on the sidelines as well and surprised fans with his announcement.

Bulter shares big news about his future

Jimmy shared on his official Instagram account some unexpected news with his 10 million followers: his next exclusive shoe, “Li-Ning Jimmy Butler 4.”

On Sunday, the player shared some postcards working out with teammate Draymond Green, but the attention was focused on those in which his sneakers were blurred, sowing doubt in his fans.

Shortly after, the 6-foot-2 forward shared on his Instagram stories the Sneaker News publication that indicated that the Warriors forward was photographed wearing the ‘Jimmy Butler 3’ model during the workout. However, the highlight was the theory that he “could be wear-testing the next model“, to which Bulter seemed to confirm by adding a gif that read ‘comming soon‘.

This possible confirmation, while surprising, is part of the project he has been working on together with Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning since 2020.

Meanwhile, in his debut year with Golden State, the forward has averaged 17.5 points, 5.4 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game, and his chemistry with Steph was undeniable.

He has career averages of 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the regular season. Butler has been to the NBA Finals twice with the Heat, but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and the Denver Nuggets in 2023.

However, if Bulter hopes to compete for a championship in 2025-26, he’ll need to show a lot more power. Will he be sporting his new shoes before the start of the season?
