New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. is back in the spotlight. A racial controversy and a direct shot at Yankees fans grabbed all the attention this time.

Everything started on Christmas Eve, when Chisholm Jr. posted a photo with his fiancée, Ahnalys Santiago. In the image, both were wearing white skincare masks, which sparked an online controversy, with many calling it “disgusting” and “racist.”

That reaction seemed a bit exaggerated for what appeared to be nothing more than a date night between the Yankees second baseman and Ahnalys Santiago.

Jazz Chisholm claps back at fan critics

With the controversy swirling, Chisholm didn’t stay quiet and sent a direct message to Yankees fans via social media: “Y’all be making me feel like I’m not a normal person even in my offseason,” he wrote.

“Like damn, I’m a normal person. I can troll too and still put in the work.” He also reminded fans and critics that he has heard worse. “I’ve been slandered from when I was broke… a little back-and-forth on this app can’t hurt me,” he added.

Jazz made it clear that he can put in the work on the field while also clapping back at his haters.
