The New York Giants have confirmed that Jaxson Dart has been ruled out for the game against the Green Bay Packers. The rookie quarterback will miss his first matchup after being placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Dart suffered a head injury during New York’s 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 10. He left the game late in the third quarter and was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the matchup after being diagnosed with a concussion. The Giants announced that Jameis Winston will start in Dart’s place against Green Bay, with Russell Wilson serving as backup.
There had been hopes that he might be ready for Week 11, but the injury requires a week without activity to avoid a greater risk. The quarterback must follow medical guidelines for his own safety.
In nine games played this season, Dart has completed 128 of 204 passes (62.7%) for 1,417 yards and 10 touchdown passes. He also has 57 carries for 317 yards and seven rushing touchdowns. He is expected to return in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions.
Jaxson Dart’s gesture
Football is not everything in the quarterback’s life, and he shows it on social media. Let’s remember that in 2024, he signed a historic NIL deal with Nicholas Air, a private membership-based company. As part of the agreement, Jaxson was granted access to the entire fleet of the company’s jets for personal use.
The player announced that he is returning for a new edition of Nicholas Air’s Christmas donation campaign for children.
Hey guys, Jaxson Dart here. Last year, I had the opportunity to be part of Nicholas Air’s ‘Stuff the Plane Teddy Bear Drive,’ where we personally delivered teddy bears to the kids at Children’s of Mississippi.
This Christmas, the quarterback once again serves as the face of the campaign to promote donations in support of children and the delivery of toys to those in need.
