There’s no doubt that New York Giants fans are excited about Jaxson Dart as their new quarterback. At some point, he will take over the role, but he may have to wait a bit and learn from Russell Wilson for a few weeks. However, sooner or later this season, they’ll have to turn to the Ole Miss product.

The Giants made moves in the quarterback position during the offseason after the disappointment that Daniel Jones turned out to be. A couple of years ago, he signed a four-year, $160 million deal, but it simply didn’t work out. A few months ago, the team signed veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency.

Many assumed that with these signings, the Giants would be out of the quarterback market in the Draft-and we might’ve been right. With their third pick, New York selected Abdul Carter, a defensive player from Penn State. But at the end of the first round, they made a big move and traded up to select Jaxson Dart.

Jaxson Dart Has won over head Coach Brian Daboll

What’s clear is that Jaxson Dart will be Brian Daboll’s big bet. When Daboll arrived at the Giants three years ago, Daniel Jones was already there from the previous regime. But now, time is not on his side, and he needs an immediate impact from Dart once the rookie gets his chance to play this coming season.

Jaxson Dart has built a strong connection with Brian Daboll and has spoken highly of his early experience working with the new Head Coach.

“Coach Daboll is incredible. We formed a really strong connection throughout the entire combine process. It’s been a privilege to play for him. There’s no other coach I’d rather be with,” Dart said. “His ability to develop quarterbacks, to see the game in its entirety-he’s coached every position. He understands the game from top to bottom.”

On the other hand, Daboll has always been known for making bold decisions, and that’s been evident every weekend since his days as the offensive coordinator for the Bills and now as the Giants’ Head Coach.

“I love his intensity, I love his coaching style. This is the place I wanted to be, so I’m grateful to play under a coach like him,” said the former Ole Miss quarterback.

Daboll developed Josh Allen into a star with the Buffalo Bills, and it would be incredible if he could do the same with Jaxson Dart. If he does, he’ll become a beloved figure among Giants fans.
