Retirement hasn’t put the brakes on Jason Kelce’s competitive streak, it’s just redirected it.

After calling time on his storied NFL career in March 2024, the former Philadelphia Eagles center has swapped cleats for clubs, diving headfirst into the world of golf.

Jason Kelce Posts Golf Swing on Reddit

And as he transitions from dominating defensive linemen to navigating doglegs, Kelce is discovering that even Hall of Famers have to start somewhere.

Now in his second year competing in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Kelce is visibly committed to improving, despite a rocky debut in 2024 that saw him finish near the bottom of the leaderboard.

This year, he’s taken a bold new step, asking the internet for help.

In a now-viral Reddit post shared across social media, Kelce humbly laid out his swing for public critique.

“Jason Kelce here. Now that I’ve hung up the cleats, I’m trying to get serious about my golf game,” he wrote.

“Been working with a local pro in Philly, but figured I’d get some crowd-sourced wisdom too.”

Reddit delivered in droves, with hundreds of users chiming in, some joking, some genuinely helpful.

But it wasn’t just anonymous fans who noticed.

PGA Tour veteran Michael Kim offered a professional assessment that was equal parts blunt and encouraging.

“Two things,”Kim began.

“I see a slight reverse C if anything. I’d like to see less left side bend on the backswing… Jason also gets over the top in transition but that’s also in part because of too much side bend in the backswing.”

The takeaway?

Kelce’s powerful build may be working against him in golf, where finesse often trumps force.

Still, Kim added, “Overall pretty good action,” signaling there’s plenty of potential in the swing.

Kelce himself isn’t shying away from the grind.

“I’ve been dating with golf for a long time, starting to get more serious,” he said on The Golfer’s Journal Podcast.

“We’re thinking about a long-term commitment here now.”

That commitment is clearly paying off, not just in scores, but in the community he’s building along the way.

Whether it’s Redditors cheering him on or PGA pros weighing in with constructive critique, Kelce’s golf journey is becoming another chapter in his already legendary career.
