Kylie Kelce is giving fans a rare look into her relationship with former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce – and it turns out the beloved NFL veteran has a memorable contact name in her phone.
During a recent episode of her Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast, the mother of four sat down with college friends Amber and Gab to revisit stories from the early days of her romance. The conversation quickly turned into a mix of nostalgia and comedy as they recalled how the couple’s relationship first developed.
At one point, Kylie revealed that Jason has long been saved in her phone under the nickname “Grizzly.”
She even showed the contact card to the camera before explaining its origin.
Amber and I had a radio show at school that we called him the bear in the woods, which I’m still not sure how we ended up with that.
Her friend Gab joked the answer was simple:
“Because he looked like one.”

The nickname didn’t just come from Jason’s famously rugged appearance. Amber reminded Kylie of another early relationship moment – when Jason sent her a stuffed bear for Valentine’s Day before their relationship was public.
The surprise gift created an unexpected panic when it arrived at her family home.
“Talk about a full panic,” Kylie admitted.
Amber explained that Kylie’s mother had placed the gift in her bedroom without saying anything, leaving Kylie convinced she had been discovered.
“You texted us like, ‘OMG,'” Amber said. “And we were like, yeah – she definitely saw that and definitely read it.”
To make matters more awkward, Kylie’s mom searched Jason’s phone number included with the gift.
“So she was like, ‘What are you doing talking to someone in Ohio?'” Kylie recalled.
That moment, her friends said, was when they began believing Jason might actually be serious about her.

Kylie and Jason first met on Tinder and made their relationship public in 2015. But their first date hardly went perfectly – in fact, it became part of Kelce family lore.
Forty-five minutes later, he fell asleep at the ba.
Despite the rocky start, the relationship grew quickly. The couple married in April 2018 at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia, just months after the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory.
Today, the pair shares four daughters – Wyatt, Eliotte, Bennett and Finnley – and has become one of football’s most beloved families thanks to their humor and authenticity.
Kylie’s story offered fans a reminder that even one of the NFL’s toughest linemen has a soft side – especially when he’s saved in his wife’s phone as a bear.
And judging by the laughs on the podcast, the nickname isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
