Jason Kelce has provided some no-nonsense relationship advice that is now buzzing among NFL fans.

During an episode of the New Heights Podcast, a fan named William from Montgomery, Alabama posed a tricky dilemma: his girlfriend wanted a fall wedding, but he, being a diehard football fan, wasn’t keen on the idea of tying the knot during the football season.

William had initially shot down his girlfriend’s suggestion. With the fan reaching out to the Kelce brothers for advice, Jason Kelce, known for his practicality and level-headed approach, responded with some solid wisdom that balanced romance with practicality.

“Brother, I’m going to tell you right now. Do the fall wedding and avoid this frivolous fight that means absolutely nothing,” Jason suggested.

“You can watch the football game, record it and watch it. There are certain things that are more important than football, and if the wedding isn’t more important than football, we’ve got some bigger issues. I get what you’re saying, but do it another time.”

Jason emphasized that in a marriage, some things are bigger than the game, and it’s essential to choose your battles wisely. He even floated the idea of having a Friday wedding to avoid the football conflict entirely.

However, his brother Travis Kelce wasn’t having any of that, quickly noting that “it’s a weekend thing,” while adding his own twist to the dilemma.

Travis’ approach

Travis, ever the pragmatist, suggested a more creative solution to make sure both the wedding and football could coexist peacefully.

“I think you guys gotta find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good,” he said.

“Also, if you really have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall, so she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around.”
