Jason and Travis Kelce are returning to the American Century Championship (ACC) this summer, promising fans another thrilling appearance at the star-studded celebrity golf tournament. The announcement has already created a buzz among followers of the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end and the ex-Philadelphia Eagles’ center.

The Kelce brothers competed in the ACC last year, sharing the golf course with famous personalities like Aaron Rodgers, Charles Barkley, and Miles Teller at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe.

However, last year’s tournament was marked by a frightening moment when Travis Kelce‘s golf ball accidentally struck a fan in the crowd, leaving the audience shocked.

Travis Kelce’s Unfortunate Incident and Redemption Plans

During the 2024 tournament, Travis Kelce was on the 16th hole when his drive hit a 37-year-old woman named Katie Hauss in the back of the head.

Witnesses reported seeing blood in her hair, and footage later surfaced of Travis comforting her as she received medical attention.

Hauss recounted the scary moment, saying, “When I put my hand to the back of my head there was a lot of blood. When I got hit, I immediately felt pain. I was just trying to focus on not blacking out, and at that point I didn’t really know what had happened.”

She went on to describe how a Good Samaritan rushed to help her, applying pressure to the wound and reassuring her until EMTs arrived. “I am just so appreciative to that man for helping me, a complete stranger, and I wish I could thank him for his kindness,” Hauss added.

Despite the incident, Travis Kelce remained in good spirits and is determined to redeem himself in this year’s tournament. His previous performance left much to be desired, finishing 63rd out of 90 competitors with a score of -10.

The Brothers’ Return to the Tournament

This year, both Jason and Travis Kelce are gearing up for a better showing on the course. The ACC officially confirmed their return with an Instagram post featuring the brothers on the green, captioned: “Time to get pumped: the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, are back in town for the tournament this year!”

Jason Kelce didn’t have a great outing last year either, placing fourth from the bottom with a score of -51. Both brothers are now motivated to improve their performance and put on a better show for their fans.

With their engaging personalities and competitive spirits, the Kelce brothers’ return to the American Century Championship is sure to be a hit among fans. After all, it’s not just about golf-it’s about entertainment, brotherly rivalry, and hopefully, a bit of redemption for Travis Kelce.

What surprises will the Kelce brothers bring to Lake Tahoe this time around? Only time will tell.
