Jake Paul reveals what it was like to be raised by his father

While the brothers have found incredible fame and wealth on their own, Logan andJake Paul have revealed the rather strict parenting style their father adhered to.

Greg Paul remains a key part of their respective lives, often seen at events or boxing matches, but he was very tough on both of them when they were kids.

“Our parents were very strict and mainly my dad,” explained Jake Paul in the Netflix documentary about his life.

“It was always Logan and me against him,”

This prompted a profanity-laced response from his brother, Logan, who reiterated claims that their father was tough on the brothers.

“Holy shit. Greg Paul is a fucking being. He’s a menace. That guy is intense,” Logan said.

“Jake can throw the word ‘abusive’ around, I prefer ‘not quite legal’,” he said.

Jake Paul has no resentment for strict parenting

As part of the documentary, Jake Paul refused to completely criticise the parenting style exhibited by his father, and instead chose to show understanding of why he did it.

“I would slap myself,” he added.

“I don’t mind. I understand why he did that… it’s all he knew,” he said.

These accusations were later responded to by Greg Paul as part of the documentary, in which he makes it clear that he never laid a hand on his children.

“I never laid a hand on my kids, and I told him I told him: ‘Jake, I picked you up and threw you on the couch a couple of times’ and he replied: ‘Well, I was afraid of you’. what the hell are dads supposed to do,” Greg explained to Netflix.

“Somebody comes in here, they start harassing everybody and hitting an old lady… do you want a couple of Greg Pauls in the room or do you want a fucking little crybaby fairy bitch who’s going to sit there and talk about emotions. Who do you want in the room?”, the man added.
