It’s pretty clear that Jake Paul is not universally liked in the boxing community. He rubs many boxing purists the wrong way, with many feeling that he has made a mockery of the sport. His “fight” against Mike Tyson certainly didn’t help matters. But you can’t say that Paul doesn’t at least train hard as if he’s a real boxer.

Stepping into a ring with Tyson, no matter his age, is nothing to sneeze at. Neither is fighting against Tommy Fury. But aside from his actual boxing career, Paul has done something for the sport that can at least be appreciated by everyone: promoting Amanda Serrano and making her a global household name. Now, Serrano is rewarding Paul for his work, as she has signed a lifetime deal with Paul’s company, Most Valuable Promotions.

Amanda Serrano signs lifetime deal with Most Valuable Promotions

Serrano signed with MVP in 2021. Together, they have broken barriers for women’s boxing. Serrano and nemesis Katie Taylor headlined at Madison Square Garden in 2022, becoming the first women ever to do so. Their rematch as the Tyson-Paul co-main event stole the show at AT&T Stadium just a few months ago.

Serrano has paved the way for the next generation of women boxers. She has surely benefited from Paul’s reach, but he has also benefited from her incredible skillset and extroverted personality.

There’s no doubt that Serrano is grateful to Paul and his promotion company for what they have achieved together.

“Together, we’ve shown the world that women deserve equal pay, equal rounds and equal respect. I’m proud to build my legacy with MVP and excited to stay on after I retire as a fighter to deepen MVP’s impact and help create even more opportunities for women in the sport.”
