When Jake Paul began his boxing career, his goal was to turn the industry upside down. What began as seemingly a cash grab turned into Paul taking training and fights very seriously. He even started earning the respect of fellow boxers, particularly when he stepped up to fight Tommy Fury. That all kind of came crashing down last month, when Paul went toe-to-toe against Mike Tyson in a bout that saddened all boxing fans.

Iron Mike was slow and showed his age, the Netflix platform crashed all night, and Paul was criticized for even allowing it all to happen. Paul has been looking to step up his competition in recent years, so much so that he has frequently called out Canelo Alvarez to fight him. No one knows if he’s serious or not, but Paul reiterated his desire to fight him after defeating Tyson.

Claiming that Canelo “needs” him, the YouTuber appeared adamant about making it happen. Most believe Alvarez woulds destroy Paul, but he does have the height and weight advantage. Regardless, it doesn’t seem like it will happen; at least not any time soon.
