Jake Paul has become one of the most controversial boxers in the world of boxing. After making his debut on the YouTube boxing scene on the undercard of the first fight between KSI and Logan Paul against Deji, KSI’s brother, Jake Paul has become a full-time boxer, with his most recent fight being a victory against Mike Tyson in Netflix in November.
Paul has a record of 11-1 with seven knockouts in his career and almost had the chance to fight Canelo Alvarez, as it was expected to be announced in February. However, after receiving a higher offer from Turki Alalshikh of Saudi Arabia, Alvarez turned down Paul’s offer.
Jake Paul talks about his next challenge
After negotiations, Paul has yet to announce another fight, but is confident. On the most recent episode of his BS with Jake Paul podcast, he took aim at a former world heavyweight champion.
“I want to fight Anthony Joshua,” Paul said, adding: “Because I know I’m going to beat Anthony Joshua.” The former YouTuber explained why he claimed he would win the fight. “He has no jaw, no skill and he’s stiff,” Paul said before claiming that he and Joshua are friends. Joshua has not responded to the call, but the relationship between them may not be so friendly after this.
Joshua’s last fight was in September. He was knocked down four times and lost to Daniel Dubois. He has held the unified world heavyweight title twice in his career, most recently between December 2019 and September 2021.
Joshua’s record is 28-4 with 25 knockouts and would represent a tough challenge for Jake Paul if the fight goes ahead.
