Jake Paul has turned the sport of boxing on its head. A former YouTube and Disney Channel sensation, Paul made waves in 2024 by agreeing to fight — and then soundly defeating — former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a special eight-round bout that aired live on streaming giant Netflix. Paul’s victory added to his already-considerable net worth; he made around $40 million from the Tyson fight, and it raised his public profile, seeing as he attended the second inauguration of president Donald Trump last week.

Accompanying Jake to the inauguration in Washington, D.C. was none other than his older brother Logan, a social media influencer and the host of the “imPAULsive” podcast. Jake stunned fans on Tuesday by announcing that his next fight, to take place in March, would come against Logan — although the parameters of this bout remain unclear.

Fans in disbelief as Paul brothers set for battle

While the Pauls and Max, another streaming giant, gave little away in terms of details, fans were made aware that Jake and Logan are planning some kind of showdown on March 27 that presumably will be a Max exclusive, as the platform seeks to enhance its live sports offerings.

Fans though, remembering the saga that was Jake Paul’s fight with “Iron Mike” Tyson, are dubious as to what exactly is on offer here. Commenters on social media believe Jake is “trolling“, while others have expressed something akin to sadness that neither Jake nor Logan will fight former MMA star Conor McGregor — for the time being, anyway — following the Tyson victory.

One thing that seems for certain though is the Paul brothers are going to put on a show that will likely weaponize their many sponsorship deals while increasing their net worth and consolidating their position within the world of boxing. Forbes estimates that Jake Paul raked in around $13.6 million for the year ending in October 2024, with Logan coming in at close to $10 million. Logan co-founded the energy drink brand Prime last year, while Jake launched the betting app Betr in a banner year for the Paul family.
