The Paul brothers are no strangers to shaking up the combat sports world, but Jake Paul has made it clear he isn’t impressed with Conor McGregor’s latest move. After McGregor announced preliminary plans for an exhibition boxing bout with Logan Paul, Jake took to social media to unleash a scathing critique of the Irish fighter.

McGregor, 36, sparked controversy this week by confirming talks for a showdown with Logan in India, following rumors he might return to MMA to face UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. Dismissing those rumors on X (formerly Twitter), McGregor wrote:

“The rumors of a bout with [Topuria] are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

McGregor is done for, says Jake

Jake Paul didn’t mince words when reacting to McGregor’s announcement. “Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor & his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] to negotiate for a fight between us,” Jake tweeted, referencing his own talks with McGregor’s camp.

He then delivered a brutal assessment of McGregor’s current standing in combat sports: “Conor is washed. Needs the Pauls. Logan by however he wants.”

“The only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor is if Dana White/UFC are at the table directly,” Jake tweeted, doubling down on his conditions. McGregor, still under contract with the UFC for two more fights, would need White’s blessing to fight outside the promotion.

The UFC closed the doors to the Pauls

White, however, has been adamant in his refusal to collaborate with the Paul brothers. In a scathing remark made years ago, White told ESPN: “I’m not gonna f*cking loan them a guy, for f*cking what? There’s no way. You’ve got plenty of f*cking goofballs out there to play these games. I’m not your guy.”

While The Notorious insists he’ll return to MMA after his clash with Logan. His tumultuous journey back to fighting continues-with injuries, legal battles, and now a potential boxing exhibition-the world waits to see if this latest chapter in combat sports drama will live up to the hype.
