The baseball world continues to mourn following the details surrounding the death of Terrance Gore, the speedy former Major League Baseball player, who died in early February at the age of 34. It was his wife who via social networks gave more details of what happened and was quite upset, as it would have been a quiet procedure that against all odds ended in the worst way.
The cause of Terrance Gore’s death is revealed
According to his wife, Britney, the cause of death was post-operative complications following emergency surgery. Gore underwent surgery to remove his appendix, a procedure that initially did not appear to present any major risks.
“He went in for emergency surgery. They removed his appendix,” Britney explained in a recent interview with WMBB.
He came out of surgery and was fine. Then he had some complications, possibly with the anesthesia, and went into cardiac arrest
The news has left an immense void in his inner circle. On social media, his wife shared the pain the family is going through: “Our hearts are broken, my babies are broken. Our whole family is lost. This was so unexpected.”

Terrance Gore was not a conventional player. Despite having few at-bats, his speed made him a lethal strategic weapon. He managed to steal 43 bases in 52 attempts and was a key piece in winning three World Series rings with the Royals (2015), Dodgers (2020) and Braves (2021).
