Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim was the host of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo on Sunday. But something else stole the spotlight.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett also shares the same passion for anime as the American athlete, so he attended the event. Not only that, but they walked the red carpet together and posed for the cameras.

Wearing a dark navy blue suit with horizontal stripes, black shoes and pants, a white button-down shirt, and a black bow tie, Garrett complemented Kim’s sophisticated off-the-shoulder dress with a black bow and white back.

The smiles, glances, and affinity between Kim, 25, and Garrett, 29, caught the attention of those present. In fact, a TMZ source reported that they looked like “a couple” as they gazed affectionately at each other during their walk down the orange carpet.

Garrett stood happily beside Kim as she spoke to reporters, showing his support. During the interview, Chloe enthusiastically used the word “romance,” which elicited a flirtatious smile from Myles and, of course, quickly caused a stir among those present.

Despite speculation of a new romance, neither Garrett nor Kim confirmed their relationship.

Garrett and Kim, sports stars

After signing a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Browns in March, Garrett has become one of the highest-paid non-quarterback players in the NFL. The four-time All-Pro first-team selection is now preparing for his ninth season in the league.

For her part, Kim is a two-time Olympic snowboard champion, winning gold in Pyeongchang in 2018 and Beijing in 2022. After winning the World Snowboard Halfpipe Championships in March this year, she now has her sights set on her next goal after securing a spot on her third Olympic team in 2026.
