Injuries seem to be giving the Indiana Fever no respite this season. The team confirmed that Chloe Bibby will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season due to a left knee injury.

The forward had joined the team mid-season to help the team cope with the absences of previously injured players.

Sensitive new loss for Fever

Chloe joined Indiana on July 25 on a 7-day contract. However, the team decided to retain her for longer. In the nine games Bibby played for the Fever, she averaged 3.9 points and 1.2 rebounds.

On August 22, during the warm-up prior to the loss to the Minnesota Lynx (95-90) Chloe suffered this unfortunate injury that finally forces her to miss the following games of the final stretch of the regular season.

This was confirmed by Indiana on their official X account: “Chloe Bibby will miss the remainder of the season due to a left knee injury.”

In the post, fans left messages of support and a speedy recovery: “This team is cursed” said one user. “I’m sorry to read this. This team can’t catch a break,” one wrote. “All best wishes to Chloe for a speedy recovery!” commented another follower.

Bibby thus became the fourth Fever player to end this season, joining Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson. As if that were not enough, Caitlin Clark’s return has not yet been confirmed.

In Chloe’s absence, the Fever signed point guard Bree Hall, who was selected by Indiana with the 20th pick in this year’s draft. After the preseason, she was let go and signed several contracts due to financial difficulties with the Golden State Valkyries.

Now, Hall will wear No. 3 and will likely get her second chance with the team on Friday the 5th, when they host Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
