The scene? A standoff between Giannis and a cockroach. His wife, Mariah Riddlesprigger, had enough of waiting and decided to take matters to the internet, grabbing her husband’s phone and going live to pressure him into action. Her caption: motivation by embarrassment.
As the chat filled with laughing emojis, Giannis appeared, clearly caught off guard and begging her to shut it down. “Baby, get out of my phone,” he said. “I swear, I’m done with you after this-I want a divorce. I’m not even playing with you.”

The moment, already hilarious on its own, came just hours after a major roster shakeup in Milwaukee. Damian Lillard-Giannis’s partner in playoff runs and co-winner of the NBA Cup-was officially waived by the Bucks and is now set to return to the Trail Blazers on a 3-year, $42 million deal, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
With Lillard recovering from an ACL injury, the Bucks made the call to cut ties early. According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Giannis wasn’t thrilled. “Not pleased” was the phrase used to describe his mood, and fans picked up on that vibe-especially during the Live, which many believe showed Giannis feeling overwhelmed and, maybe, a little over it all.
