It took the Minnesota Timberwolves five games to eliminate the Los Angeles Lakers from the Playoffs after defeating them 96-103 and closing the first round series in their favor with a crushing 1-4.

Luka Doncic was the top scorer for the Lakers with 28 points and 9 assists and LeBron James, 22. Although Anthony Edwards only scored almost half as much as Docic with 15 points and missed 3 of 4 shots, the home team’s effort was not enough to reverse the results and fight for a sixth game.

This victory was celebrated by the team, its fans and players. In their official social networks, Timberwolves referred to the victory on several occasions, as well as their fans. However, a curious celebration took all the attention.

From before the start of the series, Edwards showed great confidence and, after sealing his pass to the conference semifinals, he celebrated by taking a short walking tour through the streets of Los Angeles.

A video of the Minnesota Timberwolves player went viral on social media and he interacted with fans who asked him about his favorite movie – he said it was Matilda – and threw out the phrase “Lakers in 5” that served as a prediction to many people for the series.

The next step for the Timberwolves.

After the win, the Timberwolves will have to wait for their next opponent in the Western semifinals on May 3.

The options for Minnesota are the Houston Rockets or the Golden State Warriors . The Warriors of Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler have a 2-3 record in the series. Will Anthony take a stroll through any of these places?
