Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld had an unusual Valentine’s Day: it was their first February 14th as a married couple and they are expecting their first child together.
However, according to the actress and singer, their plans have not changed nor are they expected to change, as she has her husband’s support to take this special day easy.
Steinfeld reveals her complicity with Allen
In her weekly newsletter, ‘Beau Society‘, where she keeps in touch with her fans and shares reflections, updates on her career and personal life, and tips, the ‘Sinners’ star surprised her readers with a Valentine’s Day confession:
“I love February,” Steinfeld wrote. “I don’t know if it’s the pink and red everywhere, the chocolate cake and cookie recipes that pop up the second I open my phone, or the way every streaming service suddenly becomes a curated shrine to romance. Maybe it’s the simple fact that I love and any excuse to celebrate it: romantic, platonic, self-love, dog love… it all plays,” she explained to her fans.
The 29-year-old singer and Bills quarterback began their romance in 2023 and married on May 31 of last year in a tender and elegant wedding. Since then, they have established themselves as one of the most iconic couples in Hollywood and the NFL. To add to the excitement, just one day after her birthday, on December 12, 2025, Hailee announced that she was pregnant in a sweet video with Josh.
However, due to their public exposure, it is to be expected that they would want to relax and stay out of the spotlight, especially on a date as special and moving as Valentine’s Day. And if Steinfeld so desires, she knows she has Allen’s approval:
“A cherry on top is having a husband who not only tolerates my enthusiasm for this holiday but genuinely leans into it with me. Lucky for me, he’s also perfectly satisfied with the version of the day that results in both of us in sweats on the couch doing a whole lot of nothing,” Hailee wrote, recommending plans to her followers such as cooking with their partners or writing love notes.
Meanwhile, Allen has just ended his eighth season in the NFL and with the Bills in heartbreaking circumstances. Buffalo’s tough 30-33 loss to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Round on Saturday, January 17, not only meant the end of his Vince Lombardi dream, but it was also the seventh consecutive time the team has been eliminated on the road to the Super Bowl.
Now, in the postseason, Josh will be able to take advantage of his free time to continue recovering from his foot injury and prepare with his wife to welcome their baby.
