Hailee Steinfeld has been overwhelmed by the kindness from Buffalo Bills fans after her engagement to quarterback Josh Allen was confirmed.
The fans of the NFL team are known as the Bills Mafia and they have taken very kindly to the November news that Allen and Steinfeld are engaged to be married.
The fans went to the trouble of using a billboard in the city of Buffalo to share a message that read: “The Queen City has a new Queen. Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”

Writing in her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld extended her gratitude toward the fans for the gift: “There’s champagne, there’s beautifully written cards, and then there’s ‘Congratulations on your engagement’ billboards.
“This was a wild and very sweet surprise. Thank you Delaware North and Buffalo. I’m honored.”
Allen not always favored
Whilst this was a great gesture from the fans, they were recently annoyed with Allen and shared their feelings on social media.
While his play on the field against the Denver Broncos was at a high level once again, some fans on social media weren’t pleased with the Bills star and his actions during the national anthem.
Allen chose not to place his hand over his heart as ‘The Voice’ contestant Bella Denapoli sang ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’, which didn’t sit well with some fans.
“Half the dang football players wouldn’t even put their hand over their heart to show respect for the national anthem and flag. @NFL That’s just pitiful,” wrote one fan on X.
“All NFL coaches, players and staff should put their hand over their heart during the National Anthem! Period! No excuses! In fact, I believe EVERYONE should do it!,” wrote another.
Another wrote: “The NFL should have a policy that fines every coach and player that doesn’t put their hand over their heart.”
