The 2025 data makes it clear that running backs behind low sack rate lines are performing at an elite level. Teams like Jacksonville (1.3%), Denver (1.33%) and Buffalo (2.38%) are among the best in protection and their running backs are taking advantage.

At the other end of the spectrum, running backs running behind porous lines are suffering, even elite talents such as Tony Pollard or Nick Chubb are being limited by offenses unable to sustain drives.

• Chubb had a good second game in numbers, but his participation on third down is minimal and the Houston line is still a sieve. With tough opponents on the horizon, his value could plummet soon.
• In Pittsburgh, Jaylen Warren is one of the best fantasy RBs so far, but his schedule is getting tougher and the offense seems destined to stall with a sack rate of 9.59%.
