The agenda in Mexico of FIFA president Gianni Infantino is still very busy and on Monday he visited the Zocalo in Mexico City to hold meetings ahead of the start of the World Cup with president Claudia Sheinbaum and head of government Clara Brugada.

Gianni Infantino has been very active since his arrival in Mexico, first with his visit to the Estadio de Monterrey for the playoff matches and also in Guadalajara, as well as the inauguration of the themed museum in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office and of course in the reopening of the Estadio Azteca, now Estadio Banorte.

The image of Gianni Infantino walking along the Zocalo in the country’s capital went viral immediately. The FIFA president was captured on video, which was shared on social networks on a Monday in which he met with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheimbaun, and also with the head of government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, to discuss important issues regarding the organization and logistics for the World Cup.

After the meeting with Claudia Sheinbaum, he left the National Palace to go to the meeting with Clara Brugada, a moment that was captured on video after an agenda in which he had to make a mandatory stop in the country’s capital, mainly for the reopening of the Estadio Azteca and of course to fine-tune details with the authorities ahead of the start of the World Cup, not to mention that he was also at the playoff matches.

On the other hand, the presence of FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and especially his visit to places such as the Iztapalapa mayor’s office and his brief walk in the Zocalo, show how close he is to the Mexican authorities and the importance he is giving to Mexico within the organization of the first World Cup to be held in three countries.
