The most curious thing about this arrest is that the boxer, nicknamed ‘Fearsome’ and who has a record of 22-1 and his last victory was in June, had secured his presence in 2026 in a new stage of selection in the same police organization that arrested him.

Barraza was arrested after his ‘future’ teammates discovered him with a shipment of drugs, which was ready to go to market. The arrest, according to the boxing website, ‘Solo Boxeo’, was intercepted on a highway in Tijuana by members of the FESC.

The possible tip-off that Barraza’s ‘possible’ police colleagues had received was that they were looking for the car that had been reported stolen. They were surprised when they found a stash of around 10 kilos of synthetic drugs inside.
