Former NFL player turned TV analyst Marcellus Wiley is facing some legal troubles after being accused of raping two women at Columbia University in the 1990s.
The two accusers filed a lawsuit in New York last week, stating that they were attacked in separate incidents in Wiley’s dorm room in 1994.
This isn’t the first time the 50-year-old has been accused of assault, as he denied allegations made by another female student in the past.
The latest allegations state that Wiley pressured a woman to have sex after she agreed to go back to his dorm room on October 27, 1994.
The woman, who now lives in Texas, says she repeatedly told him no, to which he said she was “too upright and needed to relax”. From there it’s alleged Wiley imposed himself on her and “swung [her] legs on the bed, lunged towards her and overpowered [her].”
She alleges Wiley held her down and then whispered for her “to relax, enjoy it, stop crying, and stop fighting the feeling.”
The alleged victim says she told a Columbia University administrator about the incident, though they asked her not to file a criminal complaint. She claims they told her she “would be known as the girl who destroyed a black man’s NFL dream.”
A second accuser has also stated that Wiley assaulted her in his dorm room. Both victims are seeking unspecified damages.
Wiley has been accused in the past
Wiley is currently married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley. The couple share three children, while Wiley also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
The former NFL player was also accused of rape back in November 2023. That victim, now an Ivy League professor and sociologist, says Wiley assaulted her in 1994.
He denied those claims, calling them “BS” in a YouTube video, though he did state that he was “interested” in the alleged victim and spent a night with her.
“If you’re a virgin, I am not going to be your first, because I am not looking at it with the same respect, esteem, honor that you should … We did mess around, but no vaginal intercourse,” Wiley responded in the video.
“She felt ashamed to mess with me when she got caught. She didn’t feel ashamed inviting me over … she only felt shame when she knew there was no future with me.”
During his playing career Wiley played for the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars.
