FIFA has made official the ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19. Tickets will range from $60 for the most affordable category to $6,730 for the most expensive seat for the final, according to Falk Eller, FIFA’s director of ticketing and hospitality.
The sales system will not be a fixed price system, but will apply so-called “dynamic pricing”, as used at the Club World Cup in the USA. According to Eller, tickets may go up or down depending on demand, even during the Visa presale. In that precedent, the price of some matches was reportedly reduced by up to 84% from the initial draw, according to The New York Times.
One million tickets in the first phase
During the first phase, which will run from September 10 to 19, around one million tickets will be available in an exclusive draw for Visa customers. Those selected will be given a date and time to formalize the purchase from October 1. Each fan will be able to purchase up to four tickets per match and register for a maximum of ten matches.
The group stage draw will be held on December 5 in Washington D.C, at an event recently announced by US President Donald Trump. Until then, fans will not know which teams they will see in action. Among the teams already confirmed is Argentina, the Qatar 2022 champion, which will seek to retain its crown in the final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
