Caitlin Clark is preparing to take part in the FIBA Women’s World Cup 2026 training camp scheduled for December 12 and 14 in Durham.

Despite her progress in recovering from a sprained ankle and groin strain, CC has remained very active, including on social media, where she did not hesitate to praise one of her idols.

Clark’s one-word comment about LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers star played his third game after missing the start of a season for the first time in his 23-year career due to sciatica. After two wins against the Utah Jazz, LeBron and his team also defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 135-118.

During 32 minutes of play, LBJ scored 25 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds and was the team’s third-highest scorer. Luka Doncic led with 43 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds, while Austin Reaves contributed 31 points, 3 assists, and 9 rebounds.

After the game, LeBron shared a video and 10 photos on his official Instagram account before and during the game against the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena, adding only a crown emoji in the post’s description.

The comments section quickly filled with messages of support and affection from fans: “So happy you’re back my King,” said one, “LeGoat James,” commented another follower, “The greatest of all time!” said a third.

However, the comment that undoubtedly stood out was from WNBA and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, who simply wrote “King,” but received multiple likes and replies. In addition, the former Iowa Hawkeye left her like on James’ post.

The truth is that the 23-year-old point guard has just finished her second year in the league in an unexpected way. Injuries limited her to playing only 13 games this season, and although the Fever reached the Playoff Semifinals, they were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces.

After participating for the second consecutive year in the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am tournament with Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham as her caddies, she is now preparing to return to the court as one of 18 players selected for the USA Basketball training camp.

There, the two-time All-Star game will share the court with stars such as Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings), Cameron Brink (LA Sparks), and even Angel Reese (Chicago Sky).
